2011名校交流卷1 2011名校交流卷1 Several days ago we had an English test. One of my classmates was caught cheating by using his cellphone. As a result, his cellphone was taken away and he got a “zero”. As we know, tests are used to check how we are going on with our studies. It can tell us what we have mastered and what we haven’t yet. If a student cheats in it, the test then loses its function. Moreover, as a student, test scores are of course important, but what’s more important is his honesty. Without honesty, one will lose trust from others sooner or later. Therefore, in my opinion, what my classmate has lost is not only the score but also his honesty. 2. A recent survey indicates that 32 percent of the college graduates with age ranging from 22 to 28 would like to start teaching as their career. The majority of them say that teachers enjoy high job security and good pay. Although teaching ban be very tiring, teachers are always rewarded with good relationship with students. I have always been dreaming of being a teacher because your career life involves both teaching and learning. Many of your students are versatile so that you can learn a lot from them. Answering their creative and sometimes strange questions can also be exciting. It makes me feel proud when I share my thoughts and attitudes, and hopefully all of this will motivate them to be better people and even play a key role in shaping their future. 3. Recently, we held a class meeting to discuss the problem of passers-by crossing the street while the traffic light is red. As we can see, it is not a rare phenomenon that some passers-by ignore traffic rules and jaywalk frequently. This thoughtless action blocks traffic, seriously affects drives and eventually causes accidents to happen, thus endangering the safety of passers-by as well as drivers. In a
, jaywalking produces various negative effects and does no good to developing good social behavior. To deal with the situation, the government has taken some measure. When caught jaywalking, the passers-by are criticized so that they will become aware of the potential dangers of doing so, or they are fined on the spot. Sometimes the traffic police will report jaywalkers at their workplace and expose them to the public. However, it will still take a long time to stop passers-by from jaywalking. So we students should do our bit and be passers-by of good manners. 4. Recently a survey has been done to find out the most important key factor in success among high school students. Half of the students think level of education plays the most important role on the way to success. The more education one receives, the more knowledge he gets, which lays a sold basis for his future success. There are 30 percent of the students holding the idea that working experience should be put in the first place. 15% of the students choose social skills, such as the skills in communication. They think social skills make a big difference to success. Still, a few students, about 5%, suppose family background is essential for a person to succeed. With family members supporting them, it would be easier for them to achieve success. As far as I’m concerned, it is determination that counts. As the saying goes, “Where there is a will, there is a way.” I strongly believe that success belongs to a determined person with big dreams. 5. Dear Daddy, Tonight is your 50th birthday, and I haven’t really got the chance to say all my thanks I want to tell you. I read your letter you wrote to me when I was born 18 years ago. You gave me the name “Ali” and hoped that I would be brave and responsible to the society. I was so moved by your deepest love for me. And I love you too, Daddy. When I was a primary school student, you always encouraged me to do well in school and each evening I was asked to present at least one new thing I had learned that day. You told me that I could be whatever I wanted to be, as long as I got good grades and continued my education. When I met some difficulties, you inspired me to face it bravely and solve it using my own wisdom. Thanks for supporting me over the last 18 years of my life. Thanks for all the advice and knowledge over the years. Thanks for showing me that even you are not perfect. Thank dad, I wish you a healthy body and a happy life.
