无独有偶,在英语的《圣经》里面也有异曲同工之妙的表达方式: 《钦定版的圣经》 Mat7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Mat7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Mat7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (Mat7:14-7:16, King James Bible) 《新合约本圣经》 Mat7:14 For the gate is narrow, and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it. Mat7:15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Mat7:16 You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? (Mat7:14-7:16, New Revised Standard Version) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. For the gate is narrow, and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it. 钦定版: Ravening wolves: 合约本: Ravenous wolves: 第三处:(注意此处shall 和will 的差别;以及后面那句的差异:尤其是那个介词of 和from) 钦定版: Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles?
