好莱坞

好莱坞（Hollywood），本意上是一个地名的概念。是世界著名的电影城市。而宝莱坞（Bollywood）是位于印度孟买的广受欢迎的电影工业基地的别名。印度人将“好莱坞”打头的字母“H”换成了本国电影之都孟买(Bombay)的字头“B”，把“好莱坞”变成了“宝莱坞”(Bollywood)。          经典好莱坞电影基本成型于上世纪十年代。当时观众的欣赏口味偏向于古典叙事风格，促成了经典好莱坞电影浓重的戏剧化风格。而之后的好莱坞电影受到欧洲电影的深刻影响。商业电影艺术化、艺术电影商业化成为这一时期电影发展的一个趋势，剧情更多的强调个人英雄主意以及“童话”氛围。        宝莱坞的电影通常是音乐片。几乎所有影片中都至少有一段唱歌跳舞的场面。影片的情节多是通俗闹剧，里面有很多些公式化的成分，比如命运不佳的情侣，绑匪，心怀阴谋的恶人，沦落风尘的善良女子，失散已久的亲人和被命运分开的兄弟姐妹，戏剧性的命运转折，还有方便的巧合。        所以相对而言，好莱坞更加的国际化，而宝莱坞则相对的本土化。 Essentially, Hollywood is the name of a place. It is a world famous movie city. However, Bollywood is an alias of the Hindi Movie Industry. Indian use the letter “B” of Bombay (the old name of Mumbai) replaced the letter “H” of Hollywood. Therefore “Hollywood” transformed into “Bollywood”. Classic Hollywood movie basically shaped in the 1910s. At that time, audiences tended to appreciate classic narrative films. So that it contributed to the dramatic style of classic Hollywood films. And then the Hollywood movies were influenced profoundly by European film. Commercial movie turned into artistry and art film commercialized, which were the trends of the movie developments at that period of time. The plot of movie is more likely to emphasis personal heroism and “Fairy tale” atmosphere. Bollywood movies usually would be some musical films. Almost every movie has at least one scene of singing and dancing. The majority of film plots are popular farce. There are a lot of conventional patterns in it, such as a couple of lovers with bad fate, kidnappers, villain, lost relatives, dramatic twist of fate and coincidence. In conclusion, Hollywood movies tend to internationalization. And Bollywood movies are relative localization.
