Game 1 Guess the cards
1. Make six cards with words“Am, Ken, Uncle Book, Mocky, Hi, I’m Mocky.
Hello, Mocky”. And put it on the desk,
2. Place 4---6 students in group. Somebody can guess the first card’s meaning,
If the answer is correct and all of the students can touch the card; if the answer
isn’t right and all of the students can’t touch it.
3. The last one is winner.
Game 2 Catch the chairs
1. Have eight students sake seven chairs to the middle of classroom, make the
chairs to a circle.
2. The eight students are stand up behind the chairs. Listen to the music and walk
around the circle.
3. Stop listening and say“sit down”, if someone can’t sit down any chairs, they will
be out.
4. Continue say“sit down”, and move out one chair,

Begin the class with students saying the rhyme loudly, encouraging them to clap to keep the rhythm.
2. Review with Poster
Review the vocabulary and structures for this Unit with the Poster. 1) Always give children an opportunity to spontaneously produce anything they can
about the illustration.
2) Ask the children to describe the picture. Ask where the characters are what they
are doing and ho0w the children think they feel. Give them a chance to react to
the picture. Do they like it? How does it make them feel? Do they think it’s
funny?
3) Point to the train and ask, “What is it?” Elicit, “Train,” or “It’s a train.”
4) Repeat the step above and elicit the words doll, ball, teddy bear, and car. 5) Point to the train again and ask, “How many?” Elicit, “Two.”
3. Match and color
1) Have children open their books and look at the pictures.
2) Hold up your copy of the book and point to the teddy bear. Ask, “What’s this?”
Elicit, “A teddy bear,” or “It’s a teddy bear.” Ask, “How many?” Elicit, “One”.
3) Have children read each phrase silently and match with a pencil. 4) Check the answers together.
4. Find and color
1) Have children look at the words beginning with I and j on page 38 again. Have
them read the words.
2) Children open their books and look at the picture. Ask them to describe it: Who
can they see? Where are the characters? What are they doing?
3) Explain that in the picture there are some hidden objects. They have to find them
and draw a circle around each of them.
4) Give children some time to look for the objects. Check the answers.
5. Extension
Children work in pairs and trace the numerals1 through 5 on each other’s
backs. One child stands with his/her back to his/her partner. The child tracing
thinks of a number from 1-5 and traces it gently onto the other child’ back. The
child guessing must say the number that was traced.

This game reinforces the vocabulary presented in this unit.
(1) Have children take out their sets of Numbers cards and place them in
separate piles face down on the desk.

(2) Children play in pair. One child turns over one of the number cards and the partner does the same.
(3) If the two numbers are the same, the child who says the number first and places his/her hand over the cards wins that pair.
Play the second game
(1) Have children take out their sets of Number cards.
(2) Ask them to pick out and hold one of their number cards. (3) Point to one space or area in the classroom and say, “One.” Do the same
for Two, Three, Four and Five.
(4) Have children listen and go to the corner that matches the number they are holding.
(5) Check that everyone is in the correct corner by having each child hold (6) Up his or her card and say, “One” and so on.
(7) Have children choose a different Numbers cards and play again. Change
around the numbers that are allocated to each space.
3. Practice
This is an energetic way to practice Numbers. Use as a warm-up or at the
end of a
lesson for fun.
(1) Have children make a circle with their chairs. There should be enough
chairs for all but one child.
(2) Ask for a volunteer to stand in the middle of the circle without a chair. (3) Go around the circle and assign everyone a number by pointing to each
child in turn and saying, One, Two , Three, Four and Five. Assign a
number to the child standing in the middle also.
(4) Check that everyone knows what number they are by going around the
circle and having each child say their number.
(5) The object of the game is to find a chair.
(6) Explain that the person in the middle is going to call out a number or call
out “Fruit salad” If he or she calls out a number, all children of this
number must stand up and change places. The person calling the number
must also find a seat. I f the person in the middle can sit in his or her chair. (7)Now a different child is standing in the middle. He or she can call out a
number, or, “Fruit Salad,” and run and sit down once the children move.

Play the first game
This game reinforces the vocabulary presented in this unit. (1) Divide the class into two teams. Say, “Three pencils” Each team on
teacher’s desk. The first team to do this wins two points. Keep score on the
board.
(2) Repeat with the following targets two boys, three girls, five books, four bags, one chair.
(3) To make it more challenging, you could include colors. For example, two
green pencils, one blue bag, three red books, and so on.
Play the second game
(1) Photocopy the page and give each child a copy. Have children look at the picture.
(2) Point to the picture of the dolls and ask, “What can you see?” Elicit,
“Dolls” Ask “How many dolls?” Have child count and elect, “Two.”
