Carpenter Stone 木石匠公司 Overview of technology技术概况 Carpenter Stone is a science technology company. Though it has developed some turnkey products, such as Overlays, Stucco, Countertop, architectural trims in lightweight and standard to name a few, the key asset is it’s Admixture. This technology has many advantages. General Strategies:大致策略 , Designing micro-structural fiber reinforced cementitious composites, through the use of 用微型光纤混合水泥巩固而成。 , Low cement-to-water ratios , Customized super-admixtures , Modern fiber technology, using multi-fiber “cocktails” including both chemical and mechanical techniques , Fine aggregates Resulting Characteristics: , Increased strength-to-weight ratios , Increased tensile and flexural strength , Enhanced “read” expands aesthetic capabilities , No need for special equipment or special manufacturing processes, facilitating scalability CarpenterStone has developed end products with companies such as DuPont, Pilot, Jenmar, Laticrete and CoMex just to name a few. These companies had specific applications that needed either improvement or problems that needed solutions. CarpenterStone developed an Admix to solve these problems. We have over 80 years of combined experience in GFRC applications. We were instrumental in changing the specifications in the United States due to our utilization of patented admixtures, fiber utilization and system development. We believe that a partnership with Beilida will result in the same success. This may require development utilizing current formulations and engineering an admix to address the specifications. With the exception of the few products listed above, CarpenterStone does not offer end products and/or formulations, but rather an Admix to make products better. History with Beilida Clive Shek introduced me to Beilida over one year ago. I presented the technology of CarpenterStone . After that time, Clive Shek has been communicating opportunities for us to work with and solve solutions to GFRC applications. This resulted in another visit in March of this year to address a serious problem with surface cracking. We gathered all the information, visited the manufacturing locations, and reviewed the tool designs, specifications and manufacturing practices. We returned to the United States and put together a proposal to address the problem. We came to the conclusion that the main problem was the design of the face mix and the backing mix. As with all GFRC manufactures, the utilization of fibers in the face mix was not an option due to the thickness (Less than 8mm) and the inability of fiber to be incorporated. This is a major problem because of the difference in coafficiency between the face mix with no fiber and the fiber reinforced backing mix. We were advised that the specification of raw materials could not be changed at this late time in the program, so we developed an admixture that would utilize the same formula of Portland cement, sand, metikalin, mica and TI02, and incorporate a mixture of fibers. We invested all the research and development, raw materials and simulation of product intent. We presented this formula to Beilida along with documentation, technical support and application. Additionally, we sent a video of the process in detail, and samples of the GFRC panels. We stayed in constant communication with Clive Shek and though we were advised that there were still some cracking, we believed, and recommended that the problem was not the new face mix formulation, but rather the manufacturing process of de-molding. Right up to the time of my visit this week, we believed that the face coat formulation we developed would be used on the program. I have since been informed that this formula would not be used. We understand that the future programs would require a flexural specification of 18 mpa. This is a very aggressive objective and almost double the traditional GFRC specifications worldwide, but we realize that with the larger panels, it would be mandatory. To our knowledge, the only way to achieve such a specification would be through fiber technology, most probably a monolithic mesh AR Glass. Also, it would utilize a latex additive, which is not advised for long-term Portland cement applications. However, this is a very labor-intensive process and more importantly a time consuming one as well. Though the material we had sent to Beilida was what we believed to be for the face mix program mentioned above, I was asked to see if we could make adjustments be simply adding more and larger fibers and achieve the 18mpa flexural specification. Though we had success in incorporating a larger fiber load than any pre-mix formula known, and also success in spraying a pre-mix fiber loaded mix, we do not believe we will achieve the expectations that easy. However, we are convinced that the only way in the world to achieve an 18mpa flexural outcome would be utilizing the CarpenterStone technology. With this technology, we can realize a chemical bond without any co-polymers that could adhere to the fiber loads that will have to be incorporated. If this partnership is agreed upon, CarpenterStone will commence at once the development program to achieve your goals. Additionally, we will assign this formula to Beilida on an exclusive basis worldwide. This will give Beilida a competitive edge on a global scale. Pricing Admixture: Admixtures can vary depending on the formulation. However, the price is within 5% from one admixture to another. For example, the price for the Face Coat Admixture is $53 US per Gallon (360.0RMB per Liter) The coverage is approx. 4.8 sm per gallon Accelerator: 15.0 RMB per sm 2. Nano Technology, VPM This patented technology was originally developed and marketed to paint companies to enhance and improve existing formulations. Companies such as Axzo Nobel, Sherwin Wiliams and PPG, to name a few have spent over seven years testing and approving this unique technology. We now are expanding into the cementitious markets and hope Beilida will be its partner in this effort. This technology was originally introduced to the three largest paint and chemical companies in the world; AKZO NOBEL, PPG and Sherwin Williams. These companies conducted independent testing for over 4 years for durability, adhesion, color consistency and various quality requirements. An example of the extensive testing was the durability test. This technology was applied to an automobile and followed the sun for 2 years. Starting in Florida, USA through South America, Australia, Europe, and Asia and back to the USA, this colored surface with nano technology was exposed to every climate and condition in the world. The result was amazing and resulted in nano technology being used in many products today, including the colored sealer, densifier and self cleaner. The addition of nano mirror, rubber, mica etc. gives Beilida the options of flexibility, non-slip, heat reduction, etc. VPM A1, has designed and engineered a lithium based sealer and densifier using innovative NANO glass technology for the polishing of cementitous materials. NANO technology is defined as the science and technology of devices and materials constructed on extremely small scales, as small as individual atoms and molecules. The lithium based sealers and densifiers carries the NANO glass particles deep into the smallest pores also filling them at the same time, creating the ideal substrate for polishing to an extremely dense, hard and highly reflective surface. To begin the process using VPM, A1 Engineered NANO sealers and densifiers, the concrete must first be opened. Using a series of metal bonded 30, 50, 100 and 200 grit pads. Once the surface is properly prepped to no more than 200 grit, the densifier is applied and the polishing process begins. For the highest reflective finish, we recommend an application of the densifier at each pass of the 200, 400, 800 and 1500 grit. As with any surfacing project, there are variations in consistency of the surface. Any manufacture of pads has a complete line to meet the demand of any project or situation. Our engineered NANO sealers and densifiers using innovative nano glass technology conforms any cementitious surface into a nano glass densified, ultra high gloss, low maintenance surface in any commercial, institutional or residential setting while insuring the most eco- friendly, GREEN system available. All polished concrete surfaces are in some way densified. VPM A1, incorporates a NANO glass, water-based / lithium densifier that carries the nano glass particles deep into the surface with each pass to an abrasive resistant, dust free durability, sheen and finish unsurpassed in the industry. Self Cleaner Information The distinction between semiconductors and insulators is a matter of convention. In one approach semiconductors are considered as a type of insulator with a narrow band gap. Insulators with a larger band gap, usually greater than 3 eV are not considered semiconductors and generally do not exhibit semi conductive behavior under practical conditions. The electron mobility plays a key role in determining a material’s informal classification. As you stated, the band gap energy of pure anatase TiO2, around 3.2 eV, only allows the crystal to absorb ultraviolet (UV) light, which accounts for about 4% of the whole sunlight spectrum. The derivation of visible spectra data in the case of a successfully doped TiO2, is due to the formation of a dopant energy level within the band gap of TiO2. The electronic transition from the valence band to dopant level or from dopant level to conduction band can effectively red shift (move the efficacy of photocatalysis toward the visible spectrum) the band edge absorption threshold. Our proprietary technology is based upon our method of producing a hybrid anatase Nano crystal that utilizes the visible light spectrum to increase the efficacy of photocatalysis. The convention that VPM A1 has used in our laboratories to empirically measure the lowering of the bandgap is through two testing conventions. 1. Measuring the UV-Visible light absorption of the material. 2. Measuring the effect of photocatalysis by methylene blue remediation. This data is provided in the attached pdf. document. The data reveals comparative and great contrast of the absorbance of the leading Japan commercial photocatalyst vs. VPM A1 (Nano Smart Self Cleanl). The high absorption qualities of the PMHNC in the UV as well as within the visible spectrum provides a direct correlation of significant contrast in methylene blue remediation performance and has been repeatedly demonstrated in our laboratory. The empirical data draws a direct correlation to the lowering of the bandgap. This technology, in addition to nano stains and nano self-cleaning will set the standard for GFRC applications, and Beilida will be the leader.
