超自然事件 If you ask me whether I believe in supernatural things, I will tell you firmly that I'm an atheist and there is no supernatural things. From the aspect of psychology, people who chose to believe in supernatural things is largely because of their inner helplessness and fear. From my life experience has been, I think some of the so-called supernatural phenomenons can be explained. Now, I will give the reasons why I don't believe in supernatural things. The most powerful evidence to refute theists comes from scientists. Contemporary theism, under the cloak of science, is deceptive and rhetoric. In recent years, specific function, augury and witch doctor are the main manifestations of theism. Our usual recognition of human body's function is a person's natural function. The so-called specific function is "beyond our common recognition of the human body's function". Here is a typical case that new theism is strongly rejected by the wise critic. Someone said that he could learn to read with his ears. Critic held that because the man could turn his eyes to watch the paper placing near his ear, so it is with his eyes, not with his ears. The man went further that the explanation of the critic goes against the optical principle that light will not turn. “You mean you read with your ears is corresponding to the optical principle,” critic asked. The man had nothing to say, and just stood there gaping. According to lithomancy, one's career, marriage and personnel distribution, all can be predicted. Anthroposcopy is a kind of lithomancy. Anyone with the least common sense knows that the man whose face is ruddy and handsome will continue to be blessed unless there is a sudden disaster. And from a woman's weather-beaten face and rough hands, it can be inferred that she will continue to suffer. So we know that if someone says that he can predict the fate of people, he is not joking but cheating. In rural parts of China, some people will turn to witch doctors when their relatives fall ill. Whether the medicine will work is totally depends on god. If the patient recovers nicely, it is the gift of god; If the treatment has no effect, the wizard will say god does not forgive the patient. God's will is always the shaman's shield, and the wizard is always right. It is ridiculous, isn't it? From a psychological point of view, people believe in supernatural things is largely because of the aspiration and fear in their heart. Modern psychology, mainly from three aspects, interprets why people believe in religion. First, modern social interpersonal relationship is complex, a lot of people have no sense of security and belonging. Religion gives people a sense of belonging. Second, in the asking of "who am I" " where do I come from" and "where I will go", people lose themselves, producing the identity crisis. Many young people believe in god to seek a sense of self-identity. Third, through confessional language, people pour out their inner pain to the almighty god. It helps them to realize the psychological adjustment and get emotional catharsis. My mother, equipped herself with little scientific and cultural knowledge, has been a devout christian since five years ago. The majority of Christians are able to take critical attitude toward the religious, but my mother is completely addicted to it, and unable to extricate herself from her belief. My mother has been a housewife all her life, and she do not know how to play mahjong. Except busy farming season, she has nothing to do. So to my mother, the main purpose of being a believer is to chat and sing together with the neighbors. We all know that social interactions are vital for maintaining mental and physical health. After being a believer, my mother could always keep a cheerful mood and take a positive life attitude. To be frank, I strongly opposed to her being a devotee five years ago, but I have already accepted this fact since sometime. It is not because I have became a theist, but because I hope my mother live a happy life. From my previous life experience, I couldn't find out a reason to believe in the supernatural power, but a great quantity of instances can be used to prove that supernatural power is just illusory. Once I have seen a period science program of CCTV. The case is that self-ignition events occur frequently in a rural family. For example, in the courtyard, the washing hanging on the clothesline will be spontaneous combustion; The calendar on the kitchen wall will be spontaneous combustion. Nobody knows the trigger. The controversy between atheism and theistic has continued several centuries, and it will go on for a long time. Although believing in god has certain positive effect, at the same time, we should see that theism poisons people's minds and hinders the progress of society. You see, we could give strong and convincing criticism to supernatural power no matter from science, psychology or other angles. Perhaps you may say that science cannot explain any supernatural things, but you have to admit that supernatural things constantly been explained by science. And we believe that science will make greater achievement in this respect. There will be more and more people who do not believe in supernatural things.
