年轻人不愿意生小孩现象论述 英文写作
After an initial burst of enthusiasm for children, childbearing is losing its
appeal for many young couples in metropolises. Nowadays, there is an
increasing number of young couples who are reluctant to have children
as the rhythm of life is speeding up, which raise a public concern. Why
could this phenomenon come into being? For my perspective, three main factors may be accountable for this situation.
Firstly, the main reason should be the work pressure. Confronting
with the heavier workload, many young couples have no mind to have a child. Suffered from the pressure of modern life, the young generation always feel the stress to learn new things and to keep pace with the
knowledge updating so that they will not run the risk of being laid off in the fierce competition.
Secondly, the cost of bringing a child seems to be an astronomical number for the couples whose financial status is not so good. Superficially, their incomes has been improved than before.
Nevertheless, with the devaluation of currency, what they get is less than
what they should pay actually, which means their financial condition
cannot afford the cost of having a child which includes medical treatment, health cares, education, etc.
Thirdly, the possible reason lie in the changes of the fertility value and moral standard. It is a pity that some young couples do not think
having no children run counter to traditional customs and they even
regard it as a signal of society progress. Accordingly, they would rather
have more freedoms to enjoy their precious time in preference to
confine themselves to child rearing.
However, the young couples who are reluctant to have children can
hardly grasp such a philosophy that raising a child is an obligatory part
of their love, families and even the society. Although, to some extent,
having no children may help them relieve stresses, it would not help them
soothe worries completely. Because, without a child, a couple can hardly reap the benefits that a child add to their monotonous life. More
seriously, if this phenomenon comes into a tendency, it may inevitably
lead to a society where a population implosion would haunt our future and they would confront such a dilemma that there would be no offspring
to support them when they are old.
