Measles and Mumps Immunity Requirements FOR ALL STUDENTS USC requires all students receive two doses of MMR vaccine, or show proof of Measles and Mumps immunity, prior to their fi rst semester of enrollment at USC. Students should submit a photocopy of one of the following: 1. Documentation (month and year) of receiving TWO doses of the MMR vaccine (or TWO doses of Measles vaccine and TWO doses of Mumps vaccine) OR 2. Documentation of a positive Rubeola titer and Mumps titer (laboratory blood test) OR 3. Documentation from a physician or clinic indicating a past diagnosis of the diseases • All documentation must include an offi cial signature or stamp from your physician or clinic. • The fi rst dose of Measles, Mumps or MMR vaccines must be given at 12 months of age or later. A patient must wait at least 4 weeks, following the fi rst dose, to receive the second dose. • Students born prior to January 1, 1957 are considered to be immune and will automatically be listed as exempt from the Measles and Mumps requirement. Immunization and Screening Requirements All International Students are required to be screened for tuberculosis in the United States or Canada within 6 months prior to their fi rst semester at USC. A photocopy of the following will serve as proof of screening: Laboratory report of a negative Quantiferon blood test or T-Spot blood test. Only laboratory test results will be accepted, no handwritten results. Blood tests are ordered by the Immunization Clinic Monday through Friday until 3:00pm. T-Spot blood tests will not be performed after 3:00pm. A history of BCG immunization does NOT fulfi ll this requirement. Tuberculosis Screening Requirement INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY Documents must be submitted by SEPTEMBER 14 2012 to avoid a $25 late fee and a registration hold.
