Any use and application requires prior approval. 台灣德國萊因版權所有 © 12 / 2011 � Introduction Since April 1, 2001 when Japanese electrical safety law was introduced, electrical products on the Japanese market are classified into Specified Electrical Appliance and Materials (Category A, subject to diamond PSE mark) total 116 items, such as: DC Power Supply Unit, LED Drivers, Household appliance, and Components, etc.); and Non-Specified Electrical Appliance and Materials (Category B, subject to circle PSE mark) total 341 items, such as: LCD Monitor, Battery, LED lamp, etc.). For each item subject to diamond PSE mark certification, the application shall be submitted to a certification organization (Registered Conformity Assessment Body, such as TÜV Rheinland Taiwan Ltd.) authorized by the Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). ���� Technical Information Rated Voltage AC 100V：50/60Hz Plug type (1) Class I：3 pin, same as U.S. standard plug (2) Class II：2 pin, same as U.S. standard plug (3) Class 0I：2 pin with a grounding lead wire. � Documentation Required • CB report or J-IEC standard test report a) which comply with the technical standards b) • Label with E logo c) • Classification sheet (in format of TŰV system) • Japanese version of user manual d) • PSE DENAN application form • Letter of attorney from Factory (if client ≠ factory) • Factory equipment test list and report e) Notes: a) TÜV Rheinland Taichung is the only testing lab if application without a CB report. b) Updated Japan standards are listed below: Product Standard RFI Standard Corresponding IEC standard ITE J60950-1(H22):2010 J55022(H22) IEC 60950-1:2001 AV J60065(H23):2011 J55013(H22) IEC 60065:2001+A1:2005 LED Driver J61347-1(H20):2008 J61347-2- 13(H21):2009 J55015(H20) IEC 61347-1:2000 Remark From 2009, if a product is with appliance inlet, it has to be evaluated if it is in compliance with J3000(H21):2009. c) Name of Japanese importer, such as xxx株式會社 shall be indicated close to PSE Logo. d) For Class 0I product, warnings must be added. e) Each new application need to have valid factory inspection report. ���� Factory Inspection Required Factory inspection shall be performed before issuing of CoC. CIG-023 or other factory inspection report is not accepted. Only TÜV Rheinland E factory Inspection report is accepted and should not older than 2 years. ���� Local Representative Required Yes.
