All are pupils.这里有三个孩子,都是学生。 All of us are interested in English.我们大家都对英语感兴趣。 All is going well.一切顺利 All is ready.一切都准备好了 2 all 后面跟of短语时,其数的形式取决于of后面的名词或者代词的数。如: All of the apples are mine.那些苹果都是我的 All of this is not true.这全是假的 All在句中起名词作用,作主语,表语,宾语和同位语。如: [作主语]All of us can do it. [作表语]That’s all. [作宾语]I know all of them. [作同位语]I know you all. All 用作形容词,可以修饰可数名词,也可以修饰不可数名词。 如: -Are all the things in the car now? -Yes, they are. ①all与复数形式连用,表示“所有的”,与单数名词连用,表示“整体”。 All the stories are interesting. All the story is interesting. ②单数可数名词前面一般用the whole,少用all;可数名词前面常用all或the whole of ,而不能用the whole。如: I told him the whole story. I have spent the whole money.(错误) I have spent the all money.(正确) I have spent the whole of the money.(正确) ③“all+ the+名词 ”,all和名词之间有限定词the, all, the是指某一范围内的全部;“all+名词 ” ,all和名词之间无限定词泛指全体,没有固定范围。如 All the children are pupils. All children can be naughty sometimes. ④起到副词作用,在句子中作状语。如: We have many friends all over the world. He is all wrong. Every和each用法 Each Every 可以单独使用 只能在名词前面作定语,不可单独使用 可用作名词、形容词 仅用形容词 着重个体 着重整体 用于两者或者两者以上的每一个人或者物 用于三者或三者以上的每一个人或者物 1 every 只能用在单数可数名词前面作定语,表示整体的概念,意思上近似all。如 Every child knows him。(= All the children know him.)所有的孩子都认识他 2every表示个别概念,可以起到名词作用,在句子中作主语作用,在句子中作主语,宾语,同位语,也可以起到形容词作用,在句子中作定语。如: 【作主语】Each of us has a bike. 【作宾语】He gave two apples to each of them. 他给他们每人两个苹果 【作定语】There are many trees on each side of the street.街道两旁都有数 Both Both指两个的全部,与复数名词搭配。起到名词作用,在句子中作主语,宾语,同位语;起形容词作用,在句子作定语。 1作主语。如 Both of us are teachers. 2作宾语 I’ll buy both (of them). 3作定语 You are both wrong. ①both作形容词用时,必须放在冠词,指示代词,物主代词之前。 The both children have been to Beijing.(错误) Both the children have been to Beijing.(正确) ②both 作同位语时,必须放在一般动词之前,be动词和助动词之后。如: We both like singing.我们都喜欢唱歌 They both are beautiful. ③ both of the shops同位关系,“两个商店”,而two of the shops所属关系“商店中的两个”。如 Two of her eyes were closed.(错误) Both of her eyes were closed.(正确) 4 neither Neither“两者中没有一个”,是both的反义,在句中起到名词作用作主语,表语和宾语,或者起到形容词作用,作定语。 ①作主语 Neither of the students is /are fifteen. Neither of them is my classmate. ②作表语 -Is that a pen or pencil? -Neither(都不是). It’s a ball pen. ③作宾语 -Do you know Jack and Tom? -No, I know neither of them. ④作定语 -What about the two magazines? -Neither magazine is interesting. Neither parent has been to Beijing. ①neither of 后面的名词之前要加定冠词the,物主代词或指示代词。如: Neither of book is interesting.(错误) Neither of the book is interesting.(正确) Neither book is interesting.(正确) ②neither可以用作连词和副词,表示“也不”。如: Neither you nor I know Japanese. John can’t swim, neither can I. 5 either的用法 Either限于两者之间的选择,表示两者中任何一个或者两者中每一个,表示单数概念,谓语动词用单数形式。在句中起到名词作用,作主语和宾语;起到形容词作用,作宾语。 ①作主语。如: -Would you like a cup of coffee or a glass of Coke? -Either will do. ②作宾语。如: You may take either of the books.两本书你拿哪本都行 ③作定语 There are many trees on either side of the river.河两岸有许多树 Either jacket fits me well.两件夹克哪一件我穿都合身 ①neither用作形容词时,不能和冠词,物主代词或者指示代词同时使用。如: The either room,either my room (错误) The room, my room, either room (正确) Neither book is interesting.(正确) ②either of后面的名词前面一定要加冠词,物主代词或者指示代词,如: The either of room,either you(错误) The either of room,either of you (正确) ③ either可以用作副词,放在否定句的末尾,表示“也不”。如: I don’t like tea, and he doesn’t like it either. 6 none None是否定句,指三个或者三个以上无一个,既可以用于可数名词,也可以用于不可数名词,既可以指人,也可以指物。None通常只有名词的性质,通常在句子作主语,宾语和同位语。作主语时,正式场合谓语动词用单数形式,但非正式场合谓语动词常用复数形式。 ①作主语 Neither of the students is /are fifteen. Time and tide wait for no man.时间不等人 I’m no singer. 8 no one No one=nobody,否定代词,只能指人,表示“无一人”,常在句中作主语和宾语。作主语时,谓语动词用单数形式。 ①作主语。如: There are no one in the classroom. No one came to see me. ②作宾语。如: I saw nobody (no one)here. She likes nobody and nobody likes her. ①no one后不能跟介词短语。如: No one of his friends has ever been to Paris.(错误) None of his friends has ever been to Paris. (正确) 他的朋友没有人到过巴黎 Neither book is interesting.(正确) ② no one只能指人,不能指物,如: I have read no one of his books. (错误) I have read none of his books. (正确) I haven’t read any of his books. (正确) 他的书我连一本也没有读过 9 other Other用作形容词,置于其他限定词的后面(the, any, some, no, every )在句子中作定语,后面跟单数名词,表示“另一个”;后面跟复数名词,表示“另外的”“其他的”。如: This seat is free, the other seat is taken. 这个作为空着,那个座位有人坐 She always thinks of other people and never thinks of herself.她总是想到别人,而从来不考虑自己 Several other trees Two other letters 10 the other the other 用作代词,起到名词作用,在句中作主语和宾语,表示指明“两个中的另一个” ①作主语。如: We have two dogs. One is white and the other is black. ②作宾语。如: I have one sock ,but I have lost the other. 11 others Others只能用作代词,代替复数名词,前面不加冠词,表示未指明是哪些,泛指“别人”“其他动词”,在句子中作作主语或者宾语。 ①作主语。如: Some were playing basketball, others were playing football. ②作宾语。如: Be kind to others.对别人和气一点 12 the others The others 只用作代词,前面有冠词,特指一定范围内“其余的人或者物” ①作主语。如: There are a lot of books on the desk ,six of them are mine, and the others are Tom’s. ②作宾语。如: Some men have come to visit my parents. One of them is Uncle Wang, but I don’t know the others.
