The curing progress , shear st rength and micrograph of the adhesives were test2 ed by fourier t ransform infrared spect roscopy ( FTIR) , universal testing machine and scanning elect ronic micro2 scope (SEM) . The opt ium preparation condit ions of resin component were as follows: weight ratio of epoxy resin to CTBN 8?1 , react ion temperature 200 ?, reaction time 215 h. The result s showed shear st rength of the adhesive could reach 29124 MPa after cured 24 h at room temperature , and the medium - resi st ant was ex2 cellent . The toughening effect of CTBN on epoxy resin was remarkabe.
