巴西奥运会感想
Brazil isthe land of samba and world-class soccer team. The just-ended Rio 2016 Olympic Games left us a lot of memorable moments.
Olympic Games, whose slogan is “Higher, Faster, Stronger”, not only provide athletes with a huge stage to show their power, but also enable audiences to enjoy the sports events. In Rio, Chinese athletes had outstanding performances. For instance, the invincible national table tennis team became countrymen’s hot topic. Ping-pang players, such as Zhang Jike and Ma Long turned into superstars, bringing a huge amount of fans to national ball. The championship of women volleyball let us remember the tough spirit of 1980s Chinese women volleyball team. Nearly 15 years passed, they do suffer from pain and defeat but this summer they staged a comeback. What an inspiring news! What’s more, there were lots of freshmen who cut a figure in Rio, like Fu Yuanhui and Zhang Ruixue. However, every coin has itstwo sides. Because ofmany old players retired, although plenty of athletes performed noticeably well in the game, China was the third of medal table at last, lower than the US and UK.
Besides the sports events, another flashpoint during Olympic Games is the opening ceremony. As a Chinese, I can’t help but comparing it with our Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. There is no doubt that China and Brazil are two widely different countries with different cultures as well as history. As a result, Beijing’s opening ceremony tried to lay emphasis on showing its glorious history and core value, which may be harmony during that time, to audiences all over the world. On the contrary, Brazil’s opening ceremony was full of passionate national dancing, making opening ceremony a big party. Everyone who watched this show must deeply infect by the overflow with enthusiasm.
No matter which style the Olympic Games holds, sports are without borders. In a nutshell, Rio left passion and enthusiasm in my mind. Hope Chinese athletes get better grades in Tokyo 2020!
