目的语论文:本族语与目的语在大学英语语法教学中有效性的比较研究 目的语论文:本族语与目的语在大学英语语法教学中有效性的比较研究 【中文摘要】近年来,我国外语教学理论研究在很大程度上是在介绍和引进国外的一些与第二语言教学有关的理论。随之,用语进行外语教学越来越受到欢迎,语法教学也不例外。虽然在这些理论指导下,我们在外语教学中取得了巨大的成就,但笔者认为我们更需要符合中国特色的外语教学理论。例如,以理解为重要的语法教学。鉴于此,本文将初步探讨如何有效的讲授大学英语语法,用语讲授,还是本族语讲授。理论方面,本文将用到母语迁移理论、“深层共享能力”理论、输入理论为理论依据,如果教师能走出国外外语理论界“第二语言”与“外语”概念混乱的迷雾,结合我国外语教学的具体国情,合理的利用母语迁移的积极作用,那么就可能更有效的指导学生学习外语。研究方法方面,本研究运用定量分析和定性分析相结合的方法对语和本族语讲授大学英语语法的有效性进行全面的对比分析。本研究采取对大学英语课堂进行实验分析,数据来源于对某普通大学教师和学生的课堂录音,测试,问卷调查的分析。研究发现本族语对于语的学习有着不容忽视的积极作用,教师应该加以重视并科学利用,尤其在进行语法教学时。学生更倾向于用本族语讲授。然而适度、合理的运用本族语能在教学上起到积极作用,而过分依赖本族语都会适得其反。对于如何将两者最优结合,本文也只是初探,这一点还有待于国内学者进一步研究。论文共分五章。第一章主要介绍论文产生的背景、 研究问题、现实意义和本族语,二语及外语的区别。第二章是文献综 述。首先介绍理论背景,其次是本族语的作用,最后是对近年来外语语 法教学的回顾。通过对相关理论研究的回顾,引出论文研究的必要性。 第三章具体介绍实证研究的实验设计及实验结果。第四章从五方面对 实验结果进行分析和讨论。第五章介绍论文的现实意义,局限性及建 议。 【英文摘要】Recently, some foreign theories of SLT (Second Language Teaching) have been introduced into the theoretical study of foreign language teaching in China. Consequently, it is increasingly advocatory to teach foreign language in the target language without grammar teaching. Although under the guidance of these theories China has made tremendous achievements in foreign language teaching, the author believes that we also need foreign language teaching theories with Chinese characteristics, such as grammar teaching that is conducted with the mother tongue of our students. In view of this, this article will preliminarily explore how to teach college English grammar effectively, in the target language or in our native language.Theoretically speaking, the theory of positive transfer of native language, Common Underlying Proficiency and Input Theory are the theoretical bases for this research. If the Chinese foreign language teachers make a clear distinction between“second language”and“foreign language”, teach foreign language in combination with the specific Chinese condition, and reasonably make use of the positive transfer of native language, they can more effectively guide students to learn the foreign language.Methodologically speaking, the study involves both quantitative and qualitative research methods to comparatively analyze the validity between target language and native language in college English grammar teaching. It is carried out in a common university and the data is collected through teachers’and students’audio-recordings, questionnaires and tests, etc. Through analysis of the data collected, it is discovered that the positive effect of native language cannot be ignored for the study of target language, especially in learning college English grammar. Most students prefer learning college English grammar in native language. A scientific use of Chinese can have positive effects in pedagogy, while undue dependence on the mother tongue will be counter-productive. This study is only a preliminary exploration for the best combination with the two, which needs other scholars to take a further study.The thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter One mainly introduces the background for the research and its significance, as well as the different features of languages. Chapter Two presents the literature review. Firstly, the theoretical background is introduced. Secondly, the role of native language is reviewed elaborately. Foreign language grammar teaching is mentioned in the third part. Here the positive role of native language is studied in various fields and the observations is raised that the first language helps learners learn a foreign language. Besides, the author explains why an empirical study is conducted, i.e. to seek for highly-efficient practicable strategies on grammar teaching with the help of native language. Chapter Three presents the research questions and the experiment about the validity of native language in college English grammar teaching in details. Chapter Four analyzes the data collected and discusses implications of the results.
