Pre-reading: Talk about their ideas about China’s first manned space flight. While-reading: First reading: Circle all the words related to a spaceship’s movement and try to guess their meaning from the context. (Finish Ex3 P22) Second reading: Get the general idea of the passage. (Finish Ex4 P22) Third reading: Get the specific information of the passage. (Finish Ex5 P22) Post-reading: Say something about China’s first manned space flight and Yang Liwei’s experience. Finish Ex6 and Ex7 P22. 第二课时 语言知识学习(grammar) Students will be able to talk about recent events. 通过故事接力和描述图片,观察、、归纳、体验一般过去时和过去进行时所使用的 语境和表现形式。 分析出两种时态的区别 (Finish Ex8 P23) 专题实践练习 (Finish Ex10 P23) 情景应用:Finish Ex11 Interview. 第三课时 语言技能学习(listening) Students will be able to express opinions and to agree and disagree other people’s opinions. talk about famous people in the history. Pre-listening: Match the descriptions with the heroes in the picture. (Ex1 P24) Get to know the listening strategies. While-listening: First listening: Listen and get the general information of the material. Second listening: Finish Ex2 P24 Post-listening: Try to use the expressions in the Function File to discuss the people in the photos to decide which one they would nominate as “the people we most admire.” 第四课时 语言技能学习(listening /speaking) Students will be able to get some information about Marin Luther King. express opinions and to agree and disagree other people’s opinions. Pre-reading: Brainstorm: Talk about sports and sports starts to review some adjectives.(Ex1P26) While-reading: First reading: Get the general idea of the article and finish Ex2 P26. Second reading: Read the article and answer the questions. Ex 3P26. Suggest a title for the text. Ex4P26. Post-reading: Discussion: Talk about your favorite sport stars. What are the advantages and disadvantages of being sports stars? Finish Ex 6 P26. 第六课时 语言知识学习(grammar) Students will be able to Talk about events using present perfect and past simple. 通过观察、分析、归纳、体验现在完成时和一般过去时所使用的语境和表现形式。 分析出两种时态的区别。(Finish Ex7-8 P27) 专题实践练习 (Finish Ex10-12 P27) 情景应用:Finish Ex13-14 Ask and answer questions to guess partner’s favorite sports star. 第七课时 语言技能学习(reading /speaking) Students will be able to get some information about Christopher Reeve. Pre-reading: show pictures of Christopher Reeve and ask questions in Ex1 p28. While-reading: First reading: Get the general idea and check the answers in Ex1. Ex2 P29 Second reading: Finish Ex3 P29 and match the topics with the parts of the article. Post-reading: Voice your opinion in Ex4P29 and compare different heroes in different cultures. 第八课时 语言技能学习(speaking) Students will be able to ask and give personal information. 1.Get to know the reading strategies and work out the meaning in the context and do Ex5,6, and 7. 2.Write questions to ask partner about changes in their lives in the last three years. 3. Use the questions to interview the partner. 第九课时 综合技能实践(speaking & listening) Students will be able to express opinions, agree and disagree 1. Listening: listen to the interview twice to finish Ex1 and 2 P30. 2. Follow the stages of the textbook to prepare a discussion about one sports star. 3. Listening practice on P31. 第十课时综合技能实践(writing) Students will be able to write a narrative in three paragraphs. 1. Read the story on P90 and match the paragraphs with the story sections. 2. Follow the stages on P31 to write the stories in three paragraphs. 3. In groups read each other’s stories.
