小鞋子影评 A QUIET TOUCH ——film review of is a Iranian film which was released on 1999. The story happens between elder brother Ali and his sister Zahra who are both born in a poor family. The plot revolves around a pair of shoes which is lost because of Ali’s careless. The two little children have make every effort to make up the fault. After watching this movie, several feelings mixed up. The two children are so pure that I can even understand thoroughly their mind at the first sight of their eyes, the sincerity is rare and it has disappeared in the adult world. But what impressed me most is their kind heart, at 45’40’’ of the movie, the two children arrive the home of the girl who has picked up Zahra’s shoes, however, they don’t demand back the shoes when they notice that the girl’s father is blind. Zahra even bursts into tears, she looks down, but the director didn’t give us the scene what she gazes at, maybe it is her foot without shoes. As the old saying: The children from poor family are easier to be sensible. It happens on Ali and Zahra, when Ali lose his sister’s shoes, he knows to be responsible so that he promises to be No.3 in the competition and Zahra knows to take care of her young sister so that she can share responsibility for her sick mother. The director handled well in the description of the details, for example, the first day Zahra wears her brother’s sport shoes, she feel ashamed for her worn-out shoes, because her classmates wear beautiful ones, however, when the teacher says that it is necessary to wear sport shoes during sports class, she smiles and feels happy to show her shoes. It is totally accord with children’s mentality. The rhythm of the film is leisurely, we can’t find the exciting scene except that the plot of final competition. The narrating style of the film is isimiler to , there is no exploitation point of mood in the film, but it can move us to tears with gradual description, iiCompared with , a film directed by Feng Xiaogang, is too flat, without weeping and arousing our fervor. In my opinion, is like fast food, satisfying our craving in a moment; takes after Shaoxing rice wine, which is full of retrospection. We can’t absolutely make conclusion that which one is better, we can only decide that which one we prefer. i 《桃姐》 ii 《唐山大地震》
