What is shown in the chart above reveals clearly that some changes have been taken place with regard to the mobile-phone subscriptions in both developing countries and developed countries from 2000 to 2008. Based upon the data of the chart, one can see that the numbers both in developing and developed countries have been on a steady rise all the time.
In the year of 2000, the number in developing countries was only about half a billion, while within no more than several years, it went up to 4 billion. At the same the number in developed countries has witnessed slight changes.
It is no difficulty to come up with some possible factors to account for this trend. At the top of the list, with the rapid development of our economy and the steady improvement of our living standards, mobile-phone has become a life necessity. According to a recent survey, about 55% of people admit mobile phone have changed their life significantly. In the second, the advanced science and technology has made the mobile phones easily accessible to the ordinary people. The last but not the least, the fact could not be ignored that mobile service in our country has been increasingly cheaper.
Consider what has been argued so far, we could safely come to the conclusion that the trend is normal and I firmly believe that the situation will continue for quite a while in the years to come.
