Notes & Comments
The footbridge Asubio has a metallic arch in compression with and upper deck. The compression of the arch carried tensions on the deck, which prevent the bending effect on the arch.
The arch is 177,8 mm. in diameter and 16 mm. depth. The deck is 22 mtr. long and 2,1 mtr. wide. The deck and the arch are joined to each other with eight pair of metallic tubes 108 mm. in diameter and 12,5 mm. depth.
The deck is a composite section, of steel and concrete, 16 cm. depth, formed by a metallic sheet of 4 mm depth linked with metallic profiles to a slab of concrete 15,6 cm. depth. The deck has a longitudinal and transversal stiffenings too.
